For OpenWebPBX Free Phone, this website or an OpenWeb-operated service, send a request to the Information Officer below. You do not need the app installed or a website login. For an independent PBX, its administrator controls the records; we can help identify the right operator.

What to include
- Say what you need: confirmation/access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, an objection, or withdrawal of consent.
- Give a reply address and enough relevant context, such as your PBX address and extension or the date/reference of an enquiry. Explain any inaccuracy or processing you object to.
- We may ask for proportionate verification before sharing, changing or deleting records. Do not send passwords, SIP credentials, QR codes or unnecessary identity documents.
For an urgent security concern, say so clearly and telephone the Information Officer. For saved website appearance, withdrawal is immediate through Privacy choices in the footer; you do not have to send an email.
Response and fees
GDPR requests must receive a response without undue delay and normally within one month. A lawful extension of up to two more months must be explained during the first month. A refusal must include reasons and complaint/judicial-remedy information. GDPR requests are normally free, subject to the law's limited exceptions.
Under POPIA you may ask for confirmation that personal information is held without charge. Access to copies follows the applicable POPIA/PAIA rules, including any lawful prescribed fee. Formal PAIA access decisions are generally due within 30 days, with only an allowed, notified extension. POPIA correction/deletion requests must be dealt with as soon as reasonably practicable. We will explain any additional information, applicable fee or lawful refusal.
Official South African procedures
The Information Regulator's POPIA forms page includes Form 1 for objections and Form 2 for correction/deletion. Formal PAIA access uses its separate access-request process: see Access to information and the official PAIA guide. Ask us for help choosing the relevant route; an ordinary email can start the discussion.
Escalation
You may complain directly to South Africa's Information Regulator, or, for GDPR, a competent EU/EEA supervisory authority, including where you live or work. You do not need to complete our internal process first.
