You can request deletion of your PBX account and associated data even if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.
Request account and data deletion
Information Officer: Leon Whitherall, hello@openwebpbx.com, 0873508601. See privacy requests for GDPR/POPIA procedures, response times and complaints.
Contact your organisation's PBX administrator, or email the OpenWeb PBX project using the link below. Open ISP cc handles requests for services it operates and can help identify the administrator of an independently operated PBX.
Email an account and data deletion request
If the link does not open an email app, send your request to hello@openwebpbx.com with the subject OpenWebPBX Free Phone account and data deletion.
- Include your PBX website address, extension and a reply email address.
- Say whether you want your entire account and associated data deleted, or only specified records.
- The responsible operator will verify that you control the account before acting. Ask for confirmation of the expected completion time, deletion and any required retention.
Do not send your password, SIP password, QR code, connection code or recordings. No app installation or website sign-in is required to send a request.
Data covered by a request
An account-deletion request covers the account/extension and associated personal data held by the responsible operator, including phone connection credentials and device registrations, personal call history, voicemail and recordings. You may also request deletion of particular records without deleting the whole account.
Data that may need to be retained
The operator may need to retain specific records for security, fraud prevention, billing disputes or a legal obligation. It must explain which records are retained, why, and the applicable period or deletion date. Backups can expire on a separate retention schedule; the operator must explain that schedule and how deletion is handled after a backup is restored.
Retention is configured by each PBX operator; there is no single retention period across independently hosted installations. Open ISP cc cannot directly erase another organisation's independently operated server. Its administrator must handle the deletion and confirm the result.
Disconnect or clear this phone
- In the app, choose Settings → Disconnect this phone and confirm. Once the PBX confirms removal, this phone's access is revoked and its local connection details and pending call history are cleared.
- If your server is unavailable, open Android Settings → Apps → OpenWebPBX Free Phone → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. Ask your administrator to revoke the old phone connection too.
Disconnecting or uninstalling removes this phone's connection or local data. It does not delete the PBX account, server call history, voicemail or recordings. Use the account and data deletion request above for those records.
